Personal Profiles

Hallo!
My name is Anna Luckertova. I am eighteen years old. I was born in Prague which is situated in the heart of Europe and it is the capital of the Czech Republic. I attended an elementary school with music extended lessons but now I am a student at Masaryk Secondary School of chemistry in the centre of Prague. My favourite subjects are Analytical chemistry, Biology, English and Economics. In the future I am going to study Pharmaceutical University in Hradec Kralove or Medical faculty of Charles University in Prague.

I am interested in nature, mineralogy, environment, animals and beautiful things around me.

In my free time I sleep a lot during weekends, I enjoy my family and I walk with my dog, too. Sometimes I have a part time job.

I like music a lot. It fills my free time. I have attended the Folk school of music of Prague since I was seven. I have been playing the piano for 9 years and singing since I was seven. I used to sing in a school choir too. My favourite singer is Natalia Oreiro and from the Czechs Vera Spinarova. I prefer Latino-American and Spanish music such as Natalia Oreiro, Thalia, Juanes, Amazonas ..... My favourite composer is J.S. Bach. I am interested in cosmetics and fashion, too. I like browsing the fashion magazines such as Elle, Bazzar, Vogue but I read books too.

Sport is my favourite hobby. I like hiking, swimming, playing tennis, ping pong and and ball games. Recently I have discovered jogging. It is for me really good relaxing and it keeps me fit and healthy. My free time activity which I love is dancing. I have attended dance lessons for four years. When I dance I feel the best.

Me and my family in Greece- Crete

The most important in my life are my family and friends. My mother Eva is a specialist in otorhinolaryngology. My brother Andreas is graduating at Grammar school Na Prazacce in Prague nowadays. He is a very good student.

My dog is called Kalinka. She comes from Greece. We found her on our holiday in 2004. She was a puppy and she had a broken leg. So we brought her to a vet and then she flew to the Czech Republic with us.

Nowadays she guards the garden during a day and she is happy.

When we come back home, she welcomes us with “a smile“.

I like travelling the best. I have been in many countries in Europe. I was in Italy several times, in France, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, Austria and Greece which is my favourite for the amazing nature, good natured people and excellent food.

I learn languages such as Czech, English, Spanish and Latin. In the future I am going to know Greek language. I am interested in Spanish culture so I attend Spanish classes in the Royal Official Centre of Spanish speaking countries in the Czech Republic and I am a member of Library Carlos Fuentes in Prague.

I like cultural events such as theatre performances or concerts. I frequently visit an exhibition in a museum.

A tasty meal is for me a special event. I enjoy it a lot with my family. My mother cooks special Czech cuisine very well. My favourite meal is gulash with dumplings and palacinky (crepes). I prefer wholegrain food and lighter meals, fresh fruit and vegetable but my passion is chocolate.

Hallo anybody who reads this.
This is intended to be a very brief description of me, as I see myself (or a personal profile or whatever they call it.)

My name is Kryštof (the “š” symbol is pronounced as “sh”), I´m eighteen ( I´ll be nineteen by the time I arrive in England) and I am from the Czech Republic. I´m the third year a student of the Masaryk Secondary School of Chemistry in Prague, however I study on a technical branch.

I´m involved in the Scout organization and that is where I started to enjoy outdoor activities. Recently, for example, I´ve been to the Fagaras Mountains in Romania.

Other hobbies of mine include rail transport (especially trains and trams), mushrooming, which we Czechs, by the way, consider our national sport, canoeing (just moderately difficult rivers, nothing adrenalin-including), my computers ( I´ve just started to learn how to program and I can´t imagine my life without my favourite computer games, from which I definitely must mention Transport Tycoon and Civilization IV.)

When it comes to my traits, I think I´m amusing, yet not very sociable and I must admit I´m not very reliable either. (ask my teachers :-) ).

I´m afraid I´ve run out of ideas what to add so that´s enough for now, but I´m sure you´ll be able to get to know me better personally.
