FIVE THINGS ABOUT MOUNTAINS AND SKIING

First- I love mountains, snow, skiing and I am happy every time when I can stay in the mountains, especially in the Italian Dolomites or in the moutains of Bohemia. I go to the moutains every year.

Second- I love skiing. I think it is the best winter sport but I do not depricate snowboarding and other alternative skiing methods.

Third- Czech and Italian mountains. Czech mountains are smaller but they are nearer. Unfortunately the quality of Czech service (restaurants, shops, ski rent,...) are not as good as the service in Italy. In Czechia you have to queue for cableways, in Italy only sometimes. This is due to the different size of the Czech and Italian mountains. In Czech mountains there is not enough place to build new cableways and ski-lifts.

Fourth- The quality of service in Czechia is getting better and better but in Italy it is still better.

Fifth- I love both !

Wonderful times in the mountains

I am always very happy when I am with my friends in a chalet somewhere in the Giant Mountains (Krkonoše) or Orlické Mountains. In the morning we usually go downhill skiing, after a good lunch in a restaurant we go cross-country skiing. Sometimes we climb a big mountain, on foot, without skis. I like mountains because I can do there the sports I like best. And beside I love all the beauties of the mountain scenery.
